Chiropractic
Chiropractic work is based on the philosophy that the body has the capacity and resources to heal itself. Chiropractic techniques focus on helping the body reduce interruptions to internal balance and communication (subluxations) and restore flexibility and resilience to the spine and body. At Vitality Health Centre, chiropractic techniques are gentle and holistic. We balance the spine, cranium and pelvis to promote the body's function through structure.
As you can see below, each of the practitioners working from Vitality has specific areas of interest and technique specialties. Our chiropractors work independently of each other but we have procedures in place to provide you with emergency care when necessary. When you choose to see a chiropractor at Vitality you will be in capable hands.
Rebecca Lehrer - Chiropractor
“My true passion in chiropractic is working with the whole person. I am interested in what the body tells us about the experience of the person, and how when you work with the body you are able to influence so many aspects of someone's experience in the world. I work with a number of low-force techniques and am currently undertaking further studies in Network Spinal Analysis (working towards my certification). NSA is a very gentle technique focussed on reducing spinal cord tension, and helping the body develop its own strategies to let go of tension and develop flexibility. Most pain and dysfunction are indications from your body that something needs to change, whether it is what you are doing, or how you are doing it. Most of us already understand this - that most pain is just encouragement towards change. NSA has been proven by a number of studies to be extremely effective in assisting people to change their structure and therefore their patterns and lives. When we feel more connected to our bodies, we can understand them more, and be more successful in trusting our own knowledge on what we need to do to reduce symptoms and develop strength and resilience. I find NSA to be an excellent tool to help develop that connection. "
